Breakfast will be served at a time that best suits guests' morning schedule, in the formal dining room.
The breakfast menu will be faxed/emailed/posted, and discussed on the telephone prior to the arrival of guests. Wherever possible all foods are home made, and the marmalade has more scotch in it than orange peel!

The continental, or full-cooked breakfast, will be served by your host
, Heather Gaskell. Special dietary needs should be discussed with her prior to arrival.

Your host will serve morning, afternoon and arrival teas  in the guest sitting room, or at a secluded table overlooking the pool. Antique china, linen serviettes and silverware will grace the table.

Smoking is not permitted within the residence. Guests at
La Perouse Bed & Breakfast can smoke outside in the rear grounds, if other guests are not offended.

Bedrooms can be locked by guests during their absence. Privacy and security are utmost in your host's mind.

The residence has a back to base burglar alarm system, there are external sensor lights, and car parking is off street, either in the carport or special car spaces. On arrival, please park in the carport at the end of the drive.

Do not park out in La Perouse Street - it is a designated 'no parking' section, and the fines are hefty!

In addition to private bedrooms and bathrooms, other areas have been specially set aside for guests' usage.

Upstairs, in the central landing area, a mini tourist bureau has been set up in the oak roll top desk, and this can also be used for writing sessions.

Downstairs the guests' sitting room is north facing and therefore delightfully sunny. Ideal as a reading area, it also has the daily newspaper, TV with DVD player, and  an abundant supply of up-to-date magazines.

The impressive formal dining room can be used by guests for special celebrations, or business meetings.

The swimming pool and rear private gardens are exclusively for the use of guests. Bath-sheet sized towels and sun lounges are provided for guests who want to sunbathe and/or swim.

Walkies

The resident 'toy' poodles, Sarah and Charlotte, are trained to stay away from guests. They are as friendly, or distant, as guests' desire. 'The Girls' do not know they are dogs - please do not tell them!

'The Girls' would be happy to share their daily walk with guests, as they admire ambassadorial residences, and impressive gardens on route.

This very special residence has not been decorated with children in mind! There are too many 'treasures' that your host has collected worldwide, and these would provide irresistible to the eyes and hands of young children. 'La Perouse' is not suitable for children or pets.

Ducted gas heating ensures cosiness throughout. In addition, each bedroom has a heater and electric blanket for more direct personal use.

The Edwardian charm of
La Perouse Bed & Breakfast's tranquil decor and romantic ambience makes it ideal for honeymooners and guests who appreciate fine china, antique furniture, fascinating bric-a-brac, delicious foods and speciality "extras".

Your host,
Heather Gaskell, has travelled extensively around the world and lived in many different countries. In her 'former lives' she was a Nurse, Maths/Science Teacher, High School Counsellor, Editor, College Director, Rotary International Scholar, Visiting Fellow at ANU, Public Relations Executive, and Real Estate Sales Consultant.
